Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy Sessions are £45 per hour / £60 per hour and a half. The first session includes in that price an extra 15 mins for proper assessment. They are held in Ashburton at the Quaker Meeting House or if needs be I can travel to your home.

A yoga therapy session with me is designed to meet the unique requirements of each individual. Depending on what you are bringing we will also look beyond that and try to see the whole (holistic) picture of you which enables me to work in a non-prescriptive holistic way. A session will entail some or all of the following: movement, breathing techniques, relaxation, meditation, yoga nidra, bodywork and talking confidentially. If you would like I will give you things to practice at home and sometimes a self-practice arises out of this but it is not essential. In essence the session is totally guided by you and your needs and works to enable you to become more in touch with your own body wisdom.

Yoga Therapy can be helpful for a vast range of conditions but here are some of the following:

  • Stress

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Mental and Emotional Health

  • Hypertension

  • Asthma

  • General aches and pains of the musculoskeletal system

  • Back Pain

  • Women’s Health

  • Enhancing energy

  • Boosting creativity and enhancing spiritual awareness

I am also trained as a well woman womb yoga therapist and can specialise in yoga for women’s health such as fertility, menstruation, menopause, pregnancy, post - natal or anything that you feel is connected to your health as a women. Womb yoga could also be for anyone wanting to connect with their shakti or the divine feminine principle and you do not need a womb to connect with that energy. For more information about womb yoga as taught by leading practitioner Uma Dinsmore Tuli please click here.

Womb Yoga is all about reconnecting with the deep blood wisdom of womb cycles throughout the whole of a woman’s life, from pre-menarche to post-menopause. The practice of Womb Yoga enables us to access the inner guidance of our source wisdom so that we may more readily reside in wellbeing and peace with our experiences as women. Uma Dinsmore Tuli
